Spring has spring. Maybe it’s time for you to stock up on rosé. See the bottom of this message to see an offer which might help you get ready.
My New Book
I have been working on a new book. It is to be titled Beyond Shiraz. As you might guess it is about alternative varieties. It will be to some extent an update and expansion of my previous books, but with some new features.
The book will be published in both digital and paperback editions.
Beyond Shiraz will include comments from winemakers and producers on why they use certain varieties. You will get a better idea about the variety than just reading my pontifications.
I will also be seeking input from sommeliers, foodies, bloggers and others for food suggestions for their favourite varietals.
Do you want to help me make this a more interesting book? You can tell me why you use a particular variety if you are a winemaker, or you can offer food suggestions if you have a wine related business, website or blog.
In return your contribution will be acknowledged in the book including a live link from the digital version.
Please contact me if you are interested in contributing.

Darby’s Taste and Talk
I will be hosting a Taste and Talk session this Thursday.
You are invited to join in a discussion with like-minded winelovers for a Zoom meeting to be held from 5pm on Thursday 15th September.
The theme will be remote and obscure wineries/regions of Australia. So see if you can find an interesting wine from outside the usual regions to discuss with us.
I will send a reminder including the Zoom address out on Thursday morning.
