The Good Food and Wine Show is a wonderful chance to catch up with some of our favourite interstate winemakers. Scroll down to see how to get heavily discounted tickets.
The dates of the shows for the rest of 2025 are
Melbourne 30 May –1 June
Sydney 20 -22 June
Perth 18-20 July
Brisbane 24-26 October
These shows have large numbers of exhibitors, for example the Melbourne show has about 100 wineries exhibiting, mostly from interstate. Many exhibitors will be showing their alternative varieties too. You will find about 200 other assorted exhibitors with beer, spirits and food. You can also enrol in various masterclasses.
Discounted tickets
I’d love to offer you free tickets to these shows but unfortunately I can’t. But I can tell you how you can get free tickets for a moderate admin fee.
There is a service called On the House. They promote all sorts of movie premiers, shows and events by giving discounted tickets to encourage word of mouth. I am not affiliated to this organisation, I am passing on info as a service to my members.
The offer for the Melbourne Show is for two General Admission tickets for an admin fee of $18.00. The retail price of these tickets would be over $90. I think the discount offer is only available on the Friday or Sunday.
So be quick if you want those discounted tickets. Full price tickets are selling out too.
Maybe I will see you there!
Wine Offer from Wine Selectors
From time to time Wine Selectors come up with a super offer. The latest is for a set of 14 to the dozen alternative variety packs. At just $210 per pack that is just $15 per bottle for some impressive wines.

Our Next Taste and Talk
Our next taste and Talk will be on Thursday 15 May.
The topic will be Zinfandel/Primitivo. You can read up about the fascinating history of this variety on this post.
Zinfandel/Primitivo Wine in Australia
For years we argued about whether is more correctly called Zinfandel (USA) or Primitivo (Italy), but recent evidence gives it a Croatian origin.
