I have been invited to sell a few of my books and the last one or two De Long maps at the Eltham Wine Show on Sunday Nov 19th. The show is being held at the Veneto Club in Bulleen. It is open to the public for tastings from 10-30am to 2-30pm.
I will have a stall there so why not come and have a chat about alternative varieties. Maybe you can buy a book or a map for yourself, or perhaps you might find a stocking filler for a fellow winelover.
The cost of the show is $20 entry fee, or you can get early bird tickets for $15 by visiting this website.
Vinodiversity’s Curated 6-pack Wine Offer
Well three six-packs, actually. You can get six different wines, or two each of three different whites or two bottles each of three different reds.
The wines are Falanghina, Fiano, Inzolia, Cabernet Franc, Nero d’Avola and Tempranillo.
Price is $139 including freight to Victorian addresses. We have a small premium for delivery interstate.
You can see more details of the wines here.
You can use the form on the Vinodiversity page, or you can just email darby.higgs@gmail.com and I will send you payment details.
Australian Alternative Varieties Wine Show
This annual show has just been completed. I attended yet again. One of my tasks at the show is checking out new varieties and new producers of the 100+ other varieties. Getting that data onto the Vinodiversity website will be a major task for me for the rest of the year.
The 2023 result sheet is here for those who can’t wait. I will also be posting a few notes about individual varieties’ results via Substack notes.
