Most Aussie winelovers are aware of the Albarino/Savagnin stuff up from the early 2000s. But a few more varieties ended up on the nose too after the wrong propagating material was released to growers.

Grillo is a wonderful Sicilian white wine variety, but there was a bit of a stink when it was found that the wrong variety was used.

Join me on Thursday evening, 14 October at 5.30pm for a Taste and Talk where we will discuss several instances where a variety has been mistakenly planted for another.
